High Grade Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

CCoPE
Date: 2003-06-20

Question:
I have a 20-week pregnant patient with High Grade Non-Hogdkin Lymphoma. She is gravida 4, para 3, all alive.Your advice on the choice of chemotherapy will be appreciated.

Answer:
A patient with high grade NHL at the 20th week of pregnancy can be treated similarly to a nonpregnant woman. However care should be taken to examine the specific cytotoxic drugs and the time of delivery. It is also important to discuss the prognostic issues with the woman and the family. A more specific answer cannot be provided due to a lack of info re the sick woman. Specific information on a broad range of chemotherapeutic agents in pregnancy can be found on this website at Chemotherapy in Pregnancy
