Question:
Dec 2004 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage IIA. (24 years old) In Jan 05 I began chemo ABVD and ended it in April 05 I recieved 18 days of radiation to neck and chest. I found out I was pregnant on the 1st of April 2006. Are there any risks to my baby? Please, let me know. Thank you.

Answer:
The following information should not replace the assessment and advice you have been receiving from your physician (cancer specialist, obstetrician, or any other healthcare provider). It is offered for your information only. Consult your physician.

If you were off chemotherapy and radiation for a whole year prior to conception, there are no data to-date to suggest increased risk of malformations. It will be reasonable to follow the pregnancy with detailed untrasound.
