Motherisk News: Third annual Ingeborg Radde Studentship awarded
Dr Ingeborg Radde, a Professor Emeritus in the Research Institute at The Hospital for Sick Children celebrated her 83rd birthday on August 30, 2006 with the presentation of the third Ingeborg Radded Studentship in Developmental Pharmacology. The Studentship was established to highlight numerous achievements by Dr Radde as a scientist, mentor, and teacher. Her text entitled, Developmental Pharmacology and Therapeutics was recently translated into Chinese.
This year's Studentship recipient is Christelle Gedeon, PhD student in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology/Toxicology. Ms. Gedeon won the award for her outstanding work on the placental transfer of drugs. Ms Gedeon is supported by a Research Training award by the Research Institute, working under supervision of Dr Gideon Koren.
