Question:
I have ptaylism- excessive saliva-and it is driving me crazy!! I have been severely sick, nausous and vomitting, but it is under control with Zofran. What can I do to get rid of the spitting??? It interferes with everything all day long and especially the when I try to fall asleep at night. Please, tell me that it will go away soon. This is my fourth pregnancy and I have never experienced this symptom before. Thanks for your help.
Answer:
You should not swallow excessive saliva as
this can increase the symptoms of NVP. Spitting out
the saliva and frequent mouthwashes can be helpful.
