I have ptaylism- excessive saliva-and it is driving me crazy!! I have been severely sick, nausous and vomitting, but it is under control with Zofran. What can I do to get rid of the spitting??? It interferes with everything all day long and especially the when I try to fall asleep at night. Please, tell me that it will go away soon. This is my fourth pregnancy and I have never experienced this symptom before. Thanks for your help.
You should not swallow excessive saliva as this can increase the symptoms of NVP. Spitting out the saliva and frequent mouthwashes can be helpful.
