Question:
What is the maximum dose of Dicletin for NVP?
Answer:
The recommended maximum dose of Diclectin for NVP is 4 pills daily - 2 at bedtime, 1 in the morning and 1 at mid-afternoon. For optimum 24 hour effectiveness, the 4-pill regimen should provide for some overlap since the pills have a 4 hour slow release mechanism.
Diclectin may cause drowsiness. It should be prescribed with caution to automobile drivers
and machine operators. For full safety information please consult a qualified health care professional. Diclectin is available only in Canada.
For women whose symptoms are not totally relieved and who experience no side effects, Motherisk is currently studying the possibility of taking Diclectin according to body weight. Such cases may be referred to our NVP Helpine for further information and counseling:
